Q. What North Carolina and South Carolina lakes do you build docks and provide your other services on?
- A. We work primarily on Lake Wylie, Lake Wateree, Fishing Creek, and Mountain Island Lake. We’ve also done work on private ponds and lakes. The deciding factor is mostly determined by whether we can get our equipment to your jobsite.
Q: Do you only provide services on the water?
- A: No. We can provide services inland such as building decks, retaining walls, shoreline stabilization, landscape steps, lot clearing, etc. See our SHORELINE STABILIZATION section to learn more.
Q: Do you give Free Dock Building Estimates?
- A: YES! We would need to schedule a Free Dock Consultation time and meet you on site. In some cases we can gather the information from your site and communicate with you via telephone/email afterwards. Our estimates include drawings so there’s no surprises. To schedule a convenient time, please call us at 803-547-2306 or feel free to use our ONLINE FORM to request an estimate.
Q: I'm concerned with selecting a reliable dock builder that has competitve rates. How do I know your company offers the most value...the most "bang for my buck"?
- A: Our customers are our best salespeople! We encourage you to visit our TESTIMONIALS section to read what our customers say about us.
Q: I want dock built; when is the best time of year to get started?
- A: The best time to get started on the project is in the winter months...the slowest time of the year in this industry. However, we work year round so... when you're ready to start on your project, so are we!
Q: Do I have to get a Permit in order to build on the lake?
- A: Permitting can be complicated and there’s no simple answer to this question. Rest assured, we can do all this work for you. If you’re increasing the square footage or changing the original footprint in any way, the answer is always yes. Let us walk you through this part. See our PERMITTING section to learn more.
Q: Do you provide Dredging Services?
- A: We are currently not setup for dredging.
Q: What brands of Jet Ski Lifts do you carry?
- A: The Hydrohoist Hydroport II is our most popular. It’s a drive-on type and can be used in the busiest of locations. We do have other winch type lifts that lift your PWC up and out of the water.
Q: What types of Boat Lifts do you carry?
- A: Lifts can be floating (ie: air tanks) and mechanical (ie: cable). The lifts themselves are made from various materials depending on the manufacturer. We use galvanized and aluminum lifts. Doozie, Tide-Tamer, Boat Lift US, Sunstream and Hydrohoist are our most popular lifts. Each of them offer slightly different features. We can explain the differences and help you choose a lift that will work best for you. See our BOAT LIFT section to learn more.
Q: What Decking Materials do you work with?
- A: Pressure treated wood, composites and IPE hardwoods are the most popular building materials for docks and decks. Check out these sections to learn more: WOOD || COMPOSITE || IPE
Q: What are some options for Materials you use on framing of the docks?
- A: Wood or Aluminum are the most commonly used materials.
Q: What deposit do you require before you begin work on a dock building or related project?

Q: How long does it typically take to finish building a dock?
- A: Depending on the size and difficulty of your project the average time it takes to complete a dock is 2-3 weeks.
